Eligible candidates

The  applicant  can  be  a  Scientist or Engineer (PhD, PostDoc  or  a  staff  member) located in any EU country or associated countries . The applicant must obtain the agreement of the host institution before submitting the AEVP application. AEVP grantees must make their own arrangements for all health insurance, social, personal security and pension matters. 

Scientists and engineers located outside the EU area are also eligible provided that they bring a significant expertise in high energy astrophysics to Europe. A maximum of 20% of the available time can be granted to non-EU applicants.
